Color distress

I'm working on this sampler and having color distress. I'm really trying to like this mint green tree but just can't do it. I know this is what is called for in the pattern, called Eve's Leaves by Crescent Colors. It just invokes memories of green mints at Tupperware parties my mom use to have in the 70's. Nope, can't do it. So I'm changing up.

I also changed the heart when I stitched to Just Rust by Crescent Colors instead.

Here again, is the mint color.........I just can't make it a tree. I just can't.

But, I'm ok with the Bean Sprout color as I'm filling in the bottom grass. Just the mint. Maybe for another project when I want to relish in the memories of Tupperware Parties at my mom's house.........but not today........

  1. Hi Jennifer! Thanks stopping by my blog. I was able to find yours and read about the cool blog to book info you posted about. At the end of this year I so plan on getting a book made now. Great blog you have.

  2. I think I agree with you on the mint color. It does look like mints from Tupperware parties. UGH! And I saw the previous comment - what is the blog to book thing? I'd be interested in hearing about it.

  3. You are funny! That green is different and does not scream "I am a tree" ~ I understand your wanting to switch it out...Me, I am not daring and would "stitch it exactly as it is pictured" :)

  5. yep, I think I picked up a bad "Eves Leaves". The dye is different totally than pictures online or the pic of the design on the front. So I had to change it.
