I finished the Italian cotton blend which made a 12 inch square cloth. It's so soft and absorbant that I am going to make some washcloths/facecloths.
I went to Hobby Lobby and got this awesome new 100% cotton in beautiful colors. I got 4 of them for washclothes.
This one is Antique Gold.
It's called I LOVE THIS COTTON and I certainly can see why. No fraying and just the right small size to make a good lather on delicate skin.
I have some really nice dark and light teals for the guest bath for Spring.
This skein is also quite larger than Peaches and Cream, and not as rough.
Looking good against my Rosewood needles size 9 with mother of pearl in lay.
And when completed, I will roll them up until I get 10 or so made for the bath. Just still using the basic, simple garter stitch.
Mr. Darcy is making me a blocking board and here is the basic material. We found out how utterly inexpensive and frugal to make one besides buying a huge amount for one at a craft store.
He is very talented at things like this so I'm excited he offered to do it.
At the homestead life is simple as we possibly can make it.
I love it. He loves it. We love it.
This morning is restful and I slept 11 hours. Must have needed it.
Coffee and knitting needles for the morning. Soon to listen to a worship service.
Simple.
Sunday.
Sweet.
Serendipity.
Spring.
Stitching.
Sweet songs from birds this morning.
So loved
and just
SO HOME!
Mr. Darcy loves to barbeque and has started a new blog. You can start following here.
His ribs are the best I've ever had. I'm so glad grilling time will be here soon.
Will be exciting for him to share his talents.
Chicken Pot Pie for supper here tonight
Enjoy your peaceful Sunday.
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the
Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.
