My Everything Progress and the Beauty of May flowers

Good morning, sweet readers!

I'm starting out my day listening to piano solos which have put Miss Abbie completely into a sleep, reading, catching up on mail, and drinking my tea from Teavana. It's a white tea with orange in it. VERY good.

I hope to work on this also today and do a few errands around the homestead.

This sampler is designed by The Sampler Girl and called My Everything.

Mail greetings such as this show there is really love left in the world.

It's natural Belfast and who can get enough of that?????  a staple for my stash!!!

I ordered a small piece on Ebay and as always , the dear heart of a stitcher, giving and kind, sent extra with it. I will probably stitch A Woman's Heart just designed by Feathers in the Nest on this fabbie.

this old pic for 2 bucks is sweet and reminds me by my reading chair how simple life used to be

The introvert that I am loves to write, read and stitch.

Everything is blooming.

Have a sweet Summer evening!

Till later,
Jennifer

A Woman's Heart sampler inspired by The Titanic

I finally got my thoughts to graph about the verse of the "old" Rose in the movie, The Titanic. I can't count how many times I saw this movie when it came out the first time and then in April had the opportunity to see it in 3D which was really good. Ever since the second week in April when we saw this, I've had it on my mind to create a sampler with this verse.

At the end of the movie, this verse stuck with me and as the end approached and the old Rose threw her blue locket in the ocean, she finally made peace. Yep, Jack Dawson.

So, in memory of the Titanic, I tried to capture this verse which can be applied to almost every woman in some way. The initals are for Jack Dawson and Rose Dawson, although her name was not Dawson, she felt it to be at the end due to their true love.
The key is for the heart as Jack certainly had the key to her heart and vice versa.
The cross for the people who died, the many people on the ship.
The word Heart is shaded in with Shaker White or any off white color on vintage fab.

You should be able to click on the image to print a personal copy to stitch. Please do not sell, or reproduce the sampler except by needle and thread after you have made a copy. Thank you so much!

No, there wouldn't be, would there? And I've never spoken of him until now... Not to anyone... Not even your grandfather... A woman's heart is a deep ocean of secrets. But now you know there was a man named Jack Dawson and that he saved me... in every way that a person can be saved. I don't even have a picture of him. He exists now... only in my memory

Enjoy!

Starting Summertime, Fabric, and Colonial picture

Happy Memorial Day Weekend!

I've got lots of designs and ideas for samplers on paper but my computer is not working right of which I work on them. I hope to have that fixed by next week!

I would recommend Gentle Art's shades of blue for this design.

Stitched 1 over 1 on linen could make a nice tag insert for luggage and the colors could be changed to blend in with browns and tans for our troops.

Peace to all.

My Memorial Day weekend is junkin' it at thrift stores just for fun and to replace some things. This Colonial picture of Mother and Child was just beautiful I thought. It is on canvas as well not print paper.

This red ticking fabric, with cute girl and puppy scenes, was too hard to resist for little of nothing I found this in a pile and is 4 yards of it.

Looks like a good way to freshen up the house for Spring. I could even make a shower curtain with this.

I love the little pics on the red ticking.
I think she looks prescious.

speaking of that...............

yup, pretty red ticking for Summer.

I have made some more progress on the sampler, My Everything, by the Sampler Girl.
Hope you are having a great weekend!
We are definitely welcoming Summertime.

Stay cool and till later,
Jennifer
