Ye Old Irish Love sampler

Ye Olde Irish Love Sampler

designed by Feathers in the Nest 2011

colors and linen of choice

Hope you are doing well and thanks to all who are putting their name in the pot for those Tessa Ginghers! They just arrived in the mail Friday. There's still a week left to add to it if you would like.

Since Friday night, I have been in the bed with the flu, really bad. I guess my shot didn't work this year. I've had tha happen one other time and it's definitely not been a fun time since then.
I"m about maxed on the Tylenol each day, I think. Yesterday, I didn't even raise my head out of the bed so this morning I did wake and thought I would put something special for you here as the year is going on by and St. Paddy's is close for sure.
I love St. Patrick's. I've always wanted to go to Savannah on St. Paddy's but have never.

This year I will be on a trip during St. Paddy's but not to Savannah ;P

Well, back to bed and more rest. At least I can swallow and breathe today. :)

If you do stitch this one up, send me a copy of the pic and I"ll show on the blog.

God bless you,
Jennifer

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!!

Hope you are having a great week. It's been a fast one, that's for sure. For all the questions on the project I was talking about on Needleprint----I would have put a pic but I don't know her copyright on it so I linked it to the tiltviewer. And yesterday I got a couple of chances to go back to it to show directly and when I click on it, it turns up Christmas red and green ornaments!  Weird. So, I'm heading back over there this morning and see if I can find it for you again. For myself I printed it off at the time so I have it but I will get back with you. I know it's large and would take about 25x 25 piece of linen.
I'm debating on white or vintage and if white, I will have to order it. Or I may not if I can't find it again.........will let you know later.

We are planning a big road trip in about 10 days and so I have been in the busy lately.

So many things to do on my off day today! So best get busy. Just wanted to let you know, I'm pinching everyone today that hasn't got green on, ok? LOL

Till later,
Jennifer

Ye Olde Irish Love sampler

Ye Olde Irish Love sampler

designed by Feathers in the Nest

copyright 2011

This morning I awoke with my Irish eyes o' smiling as its bright and sunny outside and I completely slept through the night!!  So with my tea this morning, I played with this design and thought I'd share for all those who like to stitch up some smalls for St. Paddy's Day or if you're Irish and love your heritage for all year!

My favorite color is pink so I thought this would compliment the green well. I have a pink mother-of-pearl pendant that I got last year on Ebay from someone who went to Ireland and just didn't want it anymore and selling it. That's called the Luck of the Irish, for me as it was sterling silver and a great deal/oh, so pretty heart.

I'm imagining this cool as a pillowkeep or pinkeep for a basket, backed with Shamrock fabric.

Suggested colors are:

Crescent Colors cotton (CC)  Secondhand Rose (pink)

CC Antique Lace (very light shade)

CC Steamed Broccoli (green)

Suggested count:

your favorite

Suggested linen:

Irish linen, of course, in Antique white

Enjoy!

P.S. Please remember pattern not for sale, duplicated only by needle and accredited to Feathers in the Nest designs. Thanks so much!

If you would like to share your finishes, email me at:

with a pic of your finish and I will be glad to share the love!

till later,
Jennifer

St. Patrick's Day Give-a-Way --Don't miss this one and Spread the word!

These are on special order this week for a Irish Giveaway. Being part Irish myself, I can't help but share with you my favorites.

I don't have a pair myself of these brand-spanking new CHOCOLATE Kelmscott Scissors, but I knew I had to include this in the give-away. I have several other colors and have enjoyed their size for travel. They are too cute and so useful. These Chocolate ones are the latest from the Nashville market 2010.
Also included is a wool fat quarter which would beautifully back any of your St. Patrick's Day needlebooks or pinkeeps. This is on order from The Sampler Girl's Webshop. Pic is from her webshop, hope I don't get 3 strkes for that, Tanya! ;) I couldn't wait to get those in. I order one fat quarter for myself as well to back something I'm stitching soon.

And the last thing included is the pattern for the Irish Needlebook from The Sampler Girl.

You know the basic rules for give-aways I'm sure but just in case......
1) Please post all postings to this post----that sounds clear right? just joking
2) For 1 name in the pot, enter your name if you are a signed up follower. That way I get to know you and meet people from all over the world.
3) For 2 names in the pot, enter a second posting entry under this post with the name of your blog and that you put it on your blog to spread the word! Note: Gossiping on this blog is a good thing!
4) For 3 names in the pot, enter a third posting and simply enter your favorite brand of scissors you use. (this helps with future giveaways....hint hint).
International accepted.
The Give away starts now through March 7th midnight EST. A drawing on or about March 8th is the goal. These items are on order from 2 different places so I hope they will all be in by March 10th and I can send out then. If not, it's ok, life is like that and I shouldn't have waited so long to
get myself together this week but just a note to let you know. I hope you are fast stitchers!
To celebrate those new Kelmscott Scissors in Chocolate, there will also be something Chocolate tucked in your give-a-way package too. In fact, I'm munching on one right now.......
Good LUCK!!!!!
This morning, out of coffee. OH NO! But I'm subbing out my hot tea and my kettle is calling.
Hope your Sunday is relaxed. I have a meeting to attend this afternoon for a whole different stressful event but God is in charge right now and all I have to do is have faith.
Till later,
Jennifer
P. S. I tried to give away Green Beer and tickets to Savannah Georgia to celebrate but that didn't go over so good with a hubbie in law enforcement......hehehehehehee
