I'm sure you've heard of Thomas Kinkade, the famous artist and how his paintings just light up in a gallery. Well, this block didn't light up for me until I added the Antique White around the windows and door and it just popped.I'm fixing to scroll and rewind my frame down to start Old Glory. Every time I see that phrase the hymn comes to mind, The Battle Hymn of the Republic.........My Eyes have seen the Glory of the coming of the Lord......Glory, glory......The truth is marching on............

ReplyDeleteI love seeing the progression on your piece! I did watch the special the other evening. It was intense and a good reminder of how fortunate we are. It also made me hug my three boys a bit tighter before they went out to play army men with their friends. In my mind I kept saying - not when you are older.....

ReplyDeleteHey Gabi, thanks so much. I'm stitching on 30 ct Creekbed Brown which is a pretty color but very stiff fabric.
