then
and finally here tonight...............
I'm sure you've heard of Thomas Kinkade, the famous artist and how his paintings just light up in a gallery. Well, this block didn't light up for me until I added the Antique White around the windows and door and it just popped.
I'm fixing to scroll and rewind my frame down to start Old Glory. Every time I see that phrase the hymn comes to mind, The Battle Hymn of the Republic.........My Eyes have seen the Glory of the coming of the Lord......Glory, glory......The truth is marching on............
Wow nice square! I love this design. Your doing a great job. Great song The Battle Hymn of the Republic. I am having a giveaway on my blog if you want to take a quick peek.
ReplyDeleteVery nice progress!
ReplyDeleteI love seeing the progression on your piece! I did watch the special the other evening. It was intense and a good reminder of how fortunate we are. It also made me hug my three boys a bit tighter before they went out to play army men with their friends. In my mind I kept saying - not when you are older.....
ReplyDeleteMy thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I do believe the piece block is my favorite so far!
What a wonderful piece - your stitching is lovely.
ReplyDeleteOOOPS! How silly of me! I just realized that I spelled Peace as piece in my previous post -- boy do I feel silly! I'll blame it on the cool, damp, rainy, windy day........
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of "marching on", you are sure marching right through this piece. Thank you for being my support (even if you didn't know it) as I stitch this piece too. I hope to post some pictures of mine soon.
ReplyDeleteit looks so beautiful. Lovely progress. What fabric are you stitching on?
ReplyDeleteHey Gabi, thanks so much. I'm stitching on 30 ct Creekbed Brown which is a pretty color but very stiff fabric.
ReplyDeleteI really do love it with the thread colors.
Jennifer
