Goodbye

I am taking an indefinite leave from blogging. I appreciate all your comments and love. It's more than I could have ever imagined to get in a lifetime.
Blogging every day was so much fun. But, there comes a time when you realize that all you do is cause pain and sadness and just being alive is a problem.
There are many blogs out there that really inspirational and I appreciate all who read my blog and thought it was worth the read. That's probably the most respect I've ever received in my life. Circumstances have shown me this week that I usually hurt those lives that make contact with mine. I am retreating back into my own world so that I don't ruin anybody elses's.

  2. Jennifer,

I am dumbfounded. Shocked. Your post saddened me, I wish there was something I could do to help. I am unaware of the circumstances but I hope whatever they are.....don't be too hard on yourself. You have been a delightful blogger friend. Have a Merry Christmas and please don't stay away too long.

  3. Jennifer -

I was very distressed to read your goodbye this morning. Please do not be so harsh on yourself - you have brought much happiness into my day because I so looked forward to reading and thinking about you. Please continue to keep in touch through email!

Something special will be headed your way and should be there when you get back from your trip. Drive safely and when you get near Pennsylvania please consider a sharp right and head on over to New Jersey to visit with me and mine. We would love to take you into NYCity to see the tree!

My friend - be well - I hold you in my heart.

  7. Jennifer--I don't know all the details, but I can tell you that I will MISS reading your blog. I enjoyed it lots, and wish I could change your mind. Emotions run high during the holiday season, and perhaps things will smooth over? Hope so... If not, if you would like an online buddy, via email or whatever, please think of me...

    Hugs,

  9. I don't know you, but have come to read your blog everyday and look forward to it. Your's was the second on my list this morning.

I hope whatever has changed your mind into not blogging will change and very soon. Don't let someone else's stupidity ruin your life. Live as if they weren't a part of it or even exist for that matter!

I sure am going to miss seeing your little white bundle of joy and hearing about the happenings going on with you and body guard! Please reconsider your decision not to blog!!!!!! I'll also miss seeing your stitching projects, which was the reason I found your blog in the first place.

Merry Christmas and here's hoping for a better New Year for all of us!!!!!!!

  10. I'm sad to hear you no longer will be blogging. I will miss it. Just know that reading your blog and many others have given me a reason to get up in the morning and connect with others..

  11. Hmm...this sounds kind of over dramatic, to be honest. Ithink you are having a nice, (un)healthy dose of Holiday Stress. :(

Please take care of yourself, and keep hope in yourself. You are a kind and good person worth knowing, there are people who love you, and even "strangers" like me are interested in seeing your stitching and reading your opinions. (And, well, even good people have bad days when they aren't very nice at all, so a few of those aren't going to change that.)

Please keep hope that the most important, life-altering events of your experience will be the good ones which raise you up and not the bad ones which bring you down.

If all else fails, go sit with Abbie, she definitely knows you're great, and is unshakable in that conviction. :)

  12. Enjoy your break Jennifer. See you after you get over the winter blues~

  13. Jennifer....I will miss you, but I won't say "Goodbye"...just see ya soon :)I am so sorry for your sadness and I pray for the Lord to cover you in His peace, He is faithful.

I am praying that while you take a break from blogging " May you have blue skies and calm seas and until we meet again may the Lord bless you and keep you in his safety." Amen

Please know your blog was a daily delight and I will miss it, but I will check back often to see if your feathered nest is once again in my bloggerhood.

I have never met anyone who has made everyone they touch miserable, and has not enriched nor blessed the lives they reach out to....and, my dear, I still have not. You are a loving and blessed friend to us all.

Remember, that you are a blessing to everyone who knows you, and don't think otherwise. Someone who has as many followers as you cannot be anything but wonderful.

    Hugs and kisses
    Ma

  14. Oh dear, Jennifer. I do hope that you trust the Savior with all of these thoughts, because He can give you the perspective that you need for this difficult time. I'm willing to bet that you add more to others' lives than is shared with you, and while I understand your need to retreat, please know that you have been a "happy thing" in your blog readers' lives, or they wouldn't have stuck around. If you do choose to take this time to "lay down", let it be for prayer and perspective, and not because you feel that you have nothing but pain to give. It's just simply not true.

  15. Jennifer, I'm not sure what happened this week that made you post this, but it breaks my heart to read it and to think that you will not continue to blog.

I haven't been following/reading your blog for very long, but from what I have read, there is so much love and caring in you, that I can't understand how you could possibly hurt or cause someone pain by just being in contact with you.

From what I have seen and read in your posts, you are a generous caring person with a beautiful heart.

I hope that you will find peace and once things settle down from whatever it was that happened this week, that you will reconsider your decision and continue to blog, as you will be missed.

I wish you all the best this Christmas season, and I hope that the new year will bring you much joy and happiness.

  16. Jennifer, please don't stop bloging. You never hurt me, on the contrary. I enjoy reading your blog so much. I adore your little Abby and love to see her pictures. If you feel good bloging, do it. If other people don't like it, it is their problem and shouldn't be yours. Please don't stop!!! Greetings from Germany

  17. What a load of bollocks!!! You DO NOT hurt everyone you come into contact with that's for sure because you sure have enriched my life, when it most needed enriching and I don't, very selfishly, want you to go please. Please do not stop writing your blog because I really love it and love reading everything you have to say.

I have three grown-up children and the eldest does nothing but give me grief! And I did nothing but walk in eggshells every time I spoke to her. Well this week I decided that I don't need her in my life anymore. She is selfish and self-centered and always has to come first and is so jealous of her brother and his wife and he stopped speaking to her almost a year ago and I am now following suit. I've had enough. I have MS and it sure doesn't need this strife that's for sure. So now I have shared with you ... you can always email me privately if you want - my email address is on my blog.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don't quit your blog.

    Love
    Patti xxx

  25. I will be sorry to see you leave. I have really enjoyed your blogs. I hope you are able to take time for yourself and your family and re-center. Keep the Lord in your life and keep the faith. Unfortunately there are a lot of negative people out in the world and sometimes the negativity gets overwhelming and brings us down. And, if I remember correctly you said you are in the medical field? I was in the medical field 23 years and I too got overwhelmed and just needed to take care of me and mine. I found that I had given 110 % of my compassion to others, and did not take the time to refill my well for my own inner self, and soon I was empty. Take care of yourself. Bless you, and Merry Christmas!

  27. Hi Jennifer, Obviously I don't know what problems you are facing, but I will be so sorry not to be able to read your blog. I know I haven't left comments, but that's not because I haven't enjoyed everything you've had to say. Whatever is wrong, I hope things will improve for you. I'm not a Christian (pagan) but hope that the magic of this wonderful season will see your mood lighten and warmth and happiness return to your heart. I'll be thinking of you with affection. luv Lesley

  28. Jennifer sweet girl. I am so sad that you feel this way. None of us are perfect hun. We all have our little weaknesses and faults. Everyone is hurting in some shape or form. All I have seen from your blog is that your are one of the kindest and sweetest and most generous people out there! Sending you big hugs and kisses and encouraging you to lift up your head and be strong. email if you feel you want to talk. xxx

  30. Dear Jennifer,
I would like to thank you for your blog and the inspiration I got every time I visited you. I didn't cross stitch for 12 months and when I returned, I found your blog. I have thoroughly enjoyed peaking into your stitching room, your home and your life. May God bless you and your family richly and abundantly as you seek Him and serve Him. kelley secrest

I wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas.

  32. I'm bummed. I hope that you will return soon. Sometimes the soul needs a time out. I've enjoyed reading your blog and love the fact that we both love chichauas!
Take care of yourself and come back soon.

  33. Jennifer....The ladies who visit with you daily have spoken...WE LOVE YOU and cannot accept a "Goodbye" from you without great sadness for the loss, please re-think your decision, maybe just a small sojourn would do?

We all have our ups and downs in life, everyone of us, but it is only with friends that you get through it, sharing and caring.

Just know that these many comments are a testament to the bright and sunny spot that your blog and friendship have been to so many. Lean on your friends and the Lord to get you through.

I have never seen as many loving and caring comments as I have seen here....you will be very missed.

Now, head over to my blog and read my "A Stitcher's Tale of Whoa Nelly" post and have a good laugh...you know laughter is good for the soul.

    Love and hugs
    Ma

  35. I am shocked that you think this! I will definitely miss you, your blog and the friendship we shared. I hope you change your mind and come back. Please don't stay away from us very long. No matter what anyone else may have said to you, you are special. Merry Christmas, dear friend.

  36. WHAT??!!! You are leaving...but, I will miss you! Please, please, please reconsider Jennifer...

I can't believe that you are going to let some cold and evil hearted ogre chase you away from all of us who love and admire the wonderful person that you are! I, too, have received some pretty hateful comments from others...but I'll be damned if they are gonna scare me off! I know that you are hurting and I am so sorry...you definitely feel things very strongly, which is why you are such a wonderful, sensitive soul, but please do not let them win!

I have enjoyed reading every one of your posts over the past months since I started this blogging adventure...yours is one of the first blogs I began following! And, selfishly, I don't want you to go...but, if you truly need some time to find your center again, we understand! However, you better REMEMBER this...you are important to us, you are worthy of our love, admiration, and friendship, and most of all, you deserve to love yourself!! There will always be naysayers and mean-spirited people out there...unfortunately, we cannot escape their poisonous natures...but, we can prevail over them with God's love and the support of those who love us and that we love! We are all here for you and will be praying God grace in your life...

I will continue to be a follower and will be checking back for your return to our blogging family.

    God Bless and Keep You!
    HAPPY STITCHIN'

  38. Jennifer,

I am so sorry to read your posting. :( I don't know the details but please don't be too hard on yourself. I have enjoyed reading your blog and seeing the photos of your adorable four legged babies, your scenery, your stitching and most of all reading about your life. And all the good you bring into it.

Take care and come back soon.

Merry Christmas to you and yours.

  39. Jennifer, I hope the pain you are feeling is temporary and that you see your worth as a talented, kind and generous person. Christmas time can be very stressful - everyone is supposed to be happy, but life some times throws you curves and wrecks all the happiness. Your posts will be missed, but take care of yourself in whatever manner you need to and I hope to read them again in the future.
    Hugs,
    Carol
