For a giveaway, I picked a really cool Gone With the Wind cross stitch pattern which would be beautiful completed. Its for the serious cross stitcher though because it has many details. When finished, they are pieces or art. The chart calls for about 80 DMC colors which could easily be switched to overdyeds of your choice. I recommend at least 18 count aida or 36 count linen for the clarity of the piece.
The winner will also receive a pair of these sterling silver earrings which are Irish Claddagh.
The Claddaugh is a distinctive Irish design which symbolizeds the hands holding a heart and a crown on top.
The elements of this symbol corrospond with the qualities of love, friendship, and loyalty.
Let love and friendship reighn forever.
I ordered these earrings and they should be in by Valentines.
If you are interested in this give-away here are some rules:
1/post an entry to this posting with you name if you are a follower of the blog
2/to put a second entry into the drawing, post this on your blog, with pictures preferably.
3/ for a third entry into the drawing, post your very most favorite stitching love. This could be a specific sampler, a product, anything stitchy!
International followers are welcome to post.
The give-away begins now and ends on Feb 13th. The drawing will be on Valentines day February 14th, Sunday.
I do hope you like the sentiment because I truly feel that you all are the best friends in the world and it's also a symbol to share your heart, love, of stitching with friends.
I thought the earrings were perfect for this because Scarlett was Irish in the movie and this is a piece of Irish jewelry that will last a lifetime.
Good luck. Remember all postings are to this post only in order for the entries to be in the drawing.
Thanks so much for you loyal friendship. Stay cozy and stitch.
Jennifer

My most favorite things about cross-stitch are too numerous to list but my first love is samplers of all sorts and sizes. Second would be the peace that the repetition of passing needle through thread brings to me.
