Torn between two lovers

very few with the mild flu as you see the before pic.

And I left this one here but will be back, promise!

Forever Hope sampler

designed by Feathers in the Nest, in process

~~~dedicated to survivors of domestic violence~~~
One day, I will pick this up and continue on. I haven't forgotten this sampler. No mam.
But it's still waiting, loaded in my large lap frame and waiting for me to come back and work on it again. It is so far the largest sampler I'm designing.
Today though my heart is in herringbone and alphabets, and Francis and Lydia are calling  my heart.
Didn't get to work on this but about 20 stitches last night. Tuesday afternoon I started getting flu symptoms and I kept mentally trying to push it out because I had a flu shot but I knew by the end of the day with fever and the aaaaaaaches, I mean, bone-grating aches, that I must have a mild case of the flu.
Worked yesterday, with prayer and Advil and then came home last night and besides putting in these few stitches you see, went to bed and slept 13 hours.
I guess I needed it.
This morning feel a little better and while I'm resting will pick up Miss Francis and Miss Lydia sampler again because I really love them so much and methinks my next cup of tea will be with these kind ladies today.
The give away comments are cool. I love hearing how you like to stitch best! Almost 400 now and counting......LOVE, love hearing from ya! and remember the deadline is on Feb. 28th midnight.
 Name will be announced on March 1st.  So, still some time.
  1. Dearest Jennifer,
    Hope you will soon be feeling better and find time to finish your sampler. I too need lots of hours in order to finish so much work... Wonder how I ever finished my 47 color roses (see my blog about it on February 21.
    Lots of love,
    Mariette
  2. You know I hear so often of people getting the flu AFTER they've had the shot! Masterchief had one but I did not. I am usually the one out of us two who gets sick so we shall see. We are a science experiment in the making!
    Love the progress on your sampler (both of them). Can't wait to see how they finish.
    Hope you are feeling better soon! What kind of tea do you drink when feeling under the weather?
  3. Thanks for all the well wishes. I'm feel pretty drained today or maybe it's the antihistamines.
    Tea? Well I like just about any kind. Lipton to Teavana to Earl Gray. I really like Earl Gray.
  6. I love the sampler for survivors. I knew it spoke to me for a reason. I am a survivor....now I thrive not just survive. That is a beautiful sentiment. Thank you for sharing it.
