Brand new pair of scissors from Pineberry Lane
Old Fashioned Scissors--the small pair
These were mine while I opened them a while back. I ordered a pair for this giveaway too.
So your pair will come like this with fragrance of Sweet Annie on the tie and let me tell you! These are sharp, sharp scissors. I LOVE mine! I had to share as I had alot of comments on these before.
The second item in the Spring Fever Giveaway is a new pair of Gingher's
Gingher Epaulette scissors, new in box and ready for your stitchy hands!
I also have a pair of these, for about a year now and they are sharp as well and of course the name, Gingher will explain why. The quality is awesome! These have gold handles and very ornate.
So. The lucky winner will have 2 new pair of scissors and if you already have a pair of them, they will make beautiful gifts.
For the Third part of the giveaway is this beautiful sampler pattern from Pineberry Lane, brand new in package
called
A Faithful Friend Sampler
188 x 112
Got cabin fever yet? Well, about this time of year, with the touch or two of warmer days, brings hope for Spring. However, I know we still have a little Winter to go so I'm hoping that these will brighten someone's day.
Remember to post separately for up to 3 chances for your name in the pot.
For one chance, just post as a follower.
For two chances, post again if you have a blog, that you have put it on your blog,
and for a third chance post how you usually stitch the most, whether it be "in hand", a hoop, a needlework stand, Q snap or however.
International accepted
Remember that a random number generator will pick the winner on March 1st so this gives you time to spread the word to your stitching friends! Only post here on this posting if you are interested.
I just want to thank everyone for all their comments. They mean alot to me. Your messages, both on the blog and email, have been encouraging and it's so delightful to connect to people all over the world!
As in this sampler verse
Remember well and bear in mind,
A Faithful friend is hard to find.
~~~~~~~~
Surround yourselves with loving friends and those that choose not to be, pray for. That's the best gift you can give!
Till later,
jennifer
I have placed your givewaway in the sidebar of my blog :)
ReplyDeleteI usually use a hoop when I stitch - I have not used anything else - If it is a small pattern I will just stitch by hand - I would like to try some other methods But have not had the opportunity yet-
ReplyDeleteThank you for the lovely giveaway :)
Wow, am I the first to comment? Scissors is my weakness, I collect them. DH always asks why I need so many pairs of scissors.
ReplyDeleteHave been following your blog for quite a while. Would love a chance to own these scissors, thank you.
Hugs,
I stitch free hand without hoop. I enjoy the freedom of movement and have no problem with stitching tension.
ReplyDeleteI have seen Q-snaps being used frequently, may try them one day.
Hugs,
Ooooh what an amazing giveaway. You are so generous! Love the scissors and the chart. I am a follower as always. xxx
ReplyDeleteI always always use a hoop for my stitching to keep it nice and taught to make the stitches even. I have recently found a new frame which is fab called Grip n Stitch which grips the fabric tight and you can make the frame up to the size you want. Really good and I ned to get another one but they are quite expensive. xx
ReplyDeleteHi Jennifer, I would love to be entered in your give-a-way. What a generous offering. I enjoy reading your blog. Jon Lee
My perference for stitching depends on the the project. Mostly though I stitch in hand. I do have a couple of my i-Challenge projects on scroll bars. It jsut depends on the size of the project.
ReplyDeleteThanks for a lovely giveaway . X
Jennifer, please add my name to the drawing. The scissors would be a wonderful addition to my growing collection and I love Pineberry Lane designs but don't have any yet!
ReplyDeleteI am a follower and will try to remember to post this on my blog today. My favorite way to stitch is with my wooden hoop. I have tried other methods but always go back to my favorite!
Thanks so much for doing this to brighten the last days of Winter.
Jennifer, you are such a generous person. I would love to be entered in your give away. I usually stitch in Q snaps, sometimes with the needlework frame mounted in a floor stand. I used to stitch in hand but arthritis has stopped that. I am still recuperating from that hand surgery but hope to be stitching very soon. I even did the 15 day challenge to motivate me when the cast comes off. Thanks for a great blog, Janet
ReplyDeleteI have been a follower since I started blogging last year and love to see your newest designs.
ReplyDeleteI typically stitch in hand and will use a scroll frame for very large pieces. Love your blog and would love to enter your giveaway.
Third one, I used to stich "in hand" and I still do when the project is very small, (biscornu)or so. But I prefer to stich using hoop, you take more time, but the result is better.
Hi Jennifer, What a nice gift. I am a follower. I ususally stitch with Q-snaps, a hoop, or on Evertite stretcher bars if I am working on canvas. I did one large Maureen Appleton piece over one and in hand and it did not drive me crazy. I also stitch using a stand. I have a Lowery on one side of my chair and a System 4on the other. The System 4 is for travel but it made it into my stitching area.
ReplyDeleteThanks for a great blog and pets to Abby.
ohh great give away and i am a follower
ReplyDeletegreat giveaway i like to stitch with the linen in my hands hoops cause hand fatigue
ReplyDeletedq
I am following you. :)
ReplyDeleteAlthough I have tried stitching in hand and stretcher bars on a stand, my favorite way to stitch is with a hoop. Probably because that was how I learned to stitch many moons ago.
ReplyDeleteLOVE, LOVE, love this giveaway!
Wish I had a blog so I could enter a third time.
Have a great day!
Paula
Most often I use q-snaps in my hand. When i'm watching tv is when I usually use this type. If i'm listening to my ipod or just music, then I use my stand-an old Tomorrows Treasures stand.
ReplyDeleteBut it also depends on what i am working on. My Dyan Allaire is only done using my stand, it is too big and too heavy to hold in hand.
Joanie R.
jdnrob@roadrunner.com
I usually stitch in hand. I need one of those nifty things I see other bloggers use... it's white and kinda like a frame. I have two wooden ones, but they have these metal things that attach the frame together and they are always scraping my hands and arms, so I don't like to use them. :( They were gifts from a cross stitching friend many many years ago.
ReplyDeleteI would love to enter your fantastic draw...Elisa x I am a follower paperfaerie@rocketmail.com
ReplyDeleteI stitch mainly in hand for smaller projects but for larger ones a hoop or a q-snap dependant on the design and fabric...Elisa x
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful give~away...the scissors are wonderful and that is the sweetest chart. I am a follower...hugs, Linda
ReplyDeleteAnother scissor lover here. Have been a follower for quite some time now, and I would love a chance at your generous give-away!
ReplyDeleteStitching with Q-snaps is my favourite by far. Sometimes I'll use a hoop for a very small project though.
ReplyDeleteGreat giveaway - please enter me into your draw!
ReplyDeleteI am also a follower so I guess I get another entry!
ReplyDeleteI'm a follower of course :)
ReplyDeletePosted on my sidebar. When will this giveaway end?
ReplyDeleteI always stitch by hands only, don't use anything (hoop or any else).
ReplyDeleteBy the way I love scissors, I'm a collector :) Thanks for this great giveaway!
Greetings,
Nina
ReplyDeleteOh Jennifer, I would love to win your giveaway because I know it comes from your heart. You are very special. That chart just fits us who value friends and special friendships.
ReplyDeleteI follow your blog and love all your sharing and little designs. The scissors are so cool and I would love to have them in my stitching bag. Thanks again. pj
ReplyDeleteI always use a hoop and have for years. I like the German hoops as they hold the linen tight and are heavier and stronger than others. It is fun to have different shapes...but oval is my favorite. pj
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful giveaway! I am a follower.
ReplyDeleteI do a lot "in hand" but I tend to do large, detailed pieces, so I'd have to say most of my work is done in a frame. I prefer scroll rods over Q-snaps.
ReplyDeleteI usually stitch in Q-snaps, with in-hand being my second favorite way.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great giveaway!! Thank you!
Oh, and I am a follower. :)
ReplyDeleteI would love a chance to be entered in your give away, I'm a follower and I usually use a hoop or q-snaps depending on the project. Thank you for a generous give away and congrats to the lucky winner.
'required'. Now, I just hold it in
my hand...
Thanks for a chance to win.
ReplyDeletecodocat@yahoo.com
When I first started stitching I used a hoop or stitched in hand, but now I use q-snaps most of the time.
ReplyDeletecodocat@yahoo.com
I am a follower - love seeing what others are doing! Blogs like yours have assured me that I am not the only one with an affection for scissors! :-)
ReplyDeleteBy the way, I stitch by hand. I find it quicker and easier for tension.
ReplyDeleteCheers!
Beautiful giveaway - like many stitchers, I'm a bit scissor crazy. I am one of your followers - enjoy all your pretty pictures.
ReplyDeleteI stitch in hand - love to feel the fabric!
I'm off to post in the side of my blog!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great give away. Here is one chance as a follower.
ReplyDeleteHere is a second chance to win. Once upon a time I only stitched in hand, but as my eyes got older, I now use Q-snaps on just about everything! I need that extra stretch to see those linen threads and holes.
ReplyDeleteAs always, I wonderful giveaway! I am a follower.
ReplyDeleteI learned to stitch as a child and i learned on a hoop. I stick with what i know. Now I have to use a clip on magifier so I will never stop using a hoop.
ReplyDeleteI am now your follower:)
ReplyDeleteIt is the first scissors that have attracted me here to this giveaway!!!
Not to miss this - one pair of stork embroidery scissors i bought from ebay uk did not make its trip:(
And i soooo love the chart too, it is cool, is what it is!
Thanks for the giveaway
Sharmila, from India
I stitch in hand, i like it that way. I have tried the hoop, but it puts in a lot of constraint on my stitching. I feel tied down, LOL and i dont like that:)
ReplyDeleteThanks for such a wonderful giveaway. Good luck to all of us!
I am a follower!
ReplyDeleteYour giveway is in the sidebar of my blog.
ReplyDeleteI am definitely a Q-Snap junkie (unless it's a really small piece). I have a Ks Creations Z Stand which I use to hold the Q-Snap a lot of the time.
ReplyDeleteOh, you can never have enough scissors! Thanks, Jennifer. And I am a follower.
ReplyDeleteNo blog, but I stitch in hand, except for the Chatelaine design I am working on which is on stretcher bars.
ReplyDeleteI now stitch free hand. I have used hoop, frame and q snap (q's were the best of those options) but then was challenged to try free hand and would not go back! Thanks again for the opportunity to win the giveaway! ~ Lisa
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful giveaway-please count me in. I am a new follower. I usually just stitch with a hoop, but sometimes by hand.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for offering this! You are most generous.
I am a follower. thanks!!
ReplyDeleteI normally stitch in hand, even larger pieces. But when there are certain specialty stitches that just need a bit more taughtness then a q-snap.
ReplyDeleteI am a follower
ReplyDeleteI stitch with q snaps or by hand
ReplyDeleteI like to stitch in hand. I tried Q-snaps but I don't like it.
ReplyDeleteHey! I'm a follower, please add me, this giveaway looks great!
ReplyDeleteI stitch with a Q Snap...I have 2, a small one and a larger one. I really need to invest in a mid-sized one because I'm frequently annoyed by the fact that mine are awkward. I hold it in one hand and stitch with the other...which usually leads to the holding hand being very stiff :-)
ReplyDeleteHello !
ReplyDeleteGorgeous scissors and such a generous giveaway.
ReplyDeleteLove the scriptfabric too, and wonder which brand it is?
My stitching is done mostly in my hand, and don't really know what a Q-snap is. For a large sampler I use a frame which I bought in Somerset, UK.
I happily posted your giveaway on my blog.
ReplyDeleteI actually learned to needlepoint from my mom when I was little. She had a metal hoop that had tape on it because over the years it had lost its tension somehow. 40 years later when I am doing smaller needlepoint I still use my moms hoop (with added tape) I feel like it is my lucky charm, whatever I make in it will turn out great.
ReplyDeleteThanks again for the chance to win an amazing giveaway.
