I used a fat quarter remnant of "Blue Birds of Happiness" I found today at the quilt shop to compliment this in an 8 x 10 frame.
In this picture you can see a reflection of my sampler wall. I saw this picture, a very old one, in an antique store and just had to have it because it reminds me of me and hubbie.
Simpler times.
Beautiful, Jennifer! I have fallen in love with this one thanks to your stitching! :D
ReplyDeleteThat old illustration is quite nice: Simpler Times, indeed. :)
I like how you add the fabric at the bottom of the stitched piece.
ReplyDeleteI may use (copy?!!) that idea so I can use of some of my frame collection that nothing ever seems to fit! It also adds character to the piece.
Take care...
Love the way you finished it with the fabric. Very pretty!
ReplyDeleteJennifer,
ReplyDeleteAnother beautiful finish. What a great idea to use an 8x10 frame.
Love the framed print, too.

I love Jane Austin, and I think Persuasion is my favorite book of hers. It's the one that breaks my heart the most, the one with the loneliest heroine. I just love Anne and her patience. Good stuff. And lovely finish, too! :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful finish and picture!
ReplyDeleteOh this is so very pretty. I just love the ay you framed it. perfect.
