Hope this isn't too late but.........

First, I have reconsidered going to a private blog and staying public as is. I have had hundreds of personal emails, hundreds I tell you, of folks that have been the most kind and loving gave me names for invites and expressed concerns and I reconsidered at this time because mainly, several pointed out that my blog couldn't be read in the Google Reader and that's how I and everybody usually reads daily, unless you just favorite it to your computer.....but anyway, right now, I am staying the way it is. Hope no one gets offended by my war talk and opinions on stitching and relationships and the like.
If I could figure out how to still be on Google Reader and not have to go through so much to get there, then I could change it. Otherwise, I do thank the hundreds of people who have written me and I'm so sorry for the confusion it created.
Please bear with me. Right now it's tough going without the details, and I think I would probably best not change anything major right now. Wait till the storm rides........

Secondly, it's late, but the winner of the Valentines giveaway, is JULES!
Yep, congratulations, Jules you will be getting a very nice pair of sterling silver Claddaugh Irish earrings which just arrived in the mail yesterday from Ireland. I was kinda wondering as I've never ordered from there if the quality would be good and they are perfect, polished, with French wires and on the back is the SS.925 symbol.
The name of the place is TRK Claddagh House, Bailybrit-Galway, Ireland.

Katie Scarlet would be proud herself! I seriously may have to order me a pair too one day. I love these.

Can't you hear Scarlet say, "Oh Rhett, you devil you!"
And of course the BAP (I won't put what this stands for but learned in this giveaway from somebody what it means) LOL. It's big, it's detailed, it's soooooooo Rhett and Scarlet in one of the moments of showing his chivalry and her pleasant little determination to keep her integrity after the war and make her dress from draperies. Remember that scene. Oh I do........Oh how I love Rhett because he never hurt her, he always loved her no matter what....well except at the end and if you pick up the movie, Scarlett, it finishes the story in a great way.

Hope you enjoy Jules! Please send me your mailing address and I will mail them out this week.

Here's the status of my Love Garden.
Burning Love is the loser. It has one tiny tiny bud if you look with a magnifier. That's typical.

Strawberries are doing ok, or at least better than the Burning Love plant.

And the most abundant plant right now at our house is Forget-me-nots! They are blasting out of this container and I will have to move them to a bigger home so they will marry more and have more babies for the Spring.......LOL
Third, just want to tell you that you are the best stitching friends anyone could ever have and I love you all dearly. Thanks for putting up with me and my wishy-washiness, panickiness (is that word), melancholy, free spirit.

I made this little pillow in 1981, almost 30 years ago! WOOO I'm getting old! And it still sits by me in my stitching chair.

Back to the day. I worked on cleaning a bedroom out and it's getting there. I didn't realize how many dust bunnies could propagate under furniture. I may be taking some Benadryl just to clean up today. But it's always fun at the things I find while I'm stooping under the bed and in the closets, things I thought I lost, some things I never missed in the first place......so donation time. I got one closet finished last night about 1am. I'm off today so hope to completely finish this room.

Have a great day!

Jennifer

P. S. This morning while arranging the music Playlist which you may or may not like ??? I have several songs that are political and if you are in a good mood to get spirit for USA, listen to the Taliban Song number 2 first then scroll down to the number 14........ It's not one I put on first to hear but if you are into American spirit right now while we are kicking some......well, listen to this and Brandon, if you get this where you are, listen, you'll like it! love mama.

  4. Glad you decided to leave things they way they are.

Hun this is your space on the web to write or show what you want.
Do not apologize for what you chose to post.

If someone does not like it or does not want to read it... CLOSE the window.... don't torment the person expressing themselves.

Take care my dear... Keep on stitching!

  5. Glad to hear you're keeping public. Whatever has ruffled your feathers, I hope it passes. If it's someone in particular, I hope they go away or learn to be respectful.

    Gorgeous earrings! Lucky winner :)

  9. I am so glad you decided to leave your blog public as well! If someone doesn't like a political post, they don't have to read it. I love that angel print, it's so pretty!

  11. Glad you are still with us. I will 'listen' anytime you want to 'speak' and on any subject. Isn't that what we do here in America? If they don't want to listen than they can walk away.
    You hang tight girl!

  12. Me parece perfecto que dejes el blog como está . Son tus opiniones y si a alguien no les gusta, que no lo lean.
    I like your decision, Jennifer.
    Congratulations to Jules.

  14. Don't change who you are. You are who you are. Be who you are. Don't worry about anyone else and their opinions of you because "those who mind, don't matter and those that matter, don't mind"!! Hugs sweet girl. xx

  15. I'm glad to hear you're remaining on a public blog - while I rarely comment these days, as I'm always seeming to be running to catch up on my reading, I do read your blog. I'm sorry to hear about your family troubles, but it's good that you have such supportive friends through blogging and the stitching community. As my Mum always says, you can choose your friends but you can't choose your family ;) Your blog is your own private forum to speak of anything that is important to you - whether it be the war, or stitching, or both ... if readers don't want to read about something they should just mark the post as read and move on ... your blog is about you - it's a place to unload your true feelings in what should be a safe forum. I rarely look at my stats to see who's reading and who's not - that's not why I blog ... if only my Mum reads, I'd be happy enough :P Hmmm, for someone who rarely comments, I guess I've just made up for it LOL.
