Just Out of the Oven

Just popped this out of the oven......had some fresh peaches, so I sliced them up and made a cobbler for supper tonight. Made the house smell yummy! Maybe I'll skip the chicken and butter beans and just go straight to dessert.......

This cobbler is really easy to make with any fresh fruit. You can use canned fruit but it's really, really good with fresh fruit. It has a crusty outside and a smooth, gooey inside.

Peach Cobbler

Preheat oven to 375 degrees

Put 1 stick of butter or margerine in a casserole dish, melt in a microwave and set aside. In another bowl cut up 2-3 cups of fresh peaches~~about 6-8 peaches. In a third bowl, mix 1 cup of milk, 1 cup of sugar, and 1 cup of self-rising flour and stir for 2-3 minutes. Next get the casserole dish with the melted butter and pour the milk/flour mixture directly on top. Do not stir. Then, spoon fresh fruit directly on top without stirring. Bake at 375 degrees for about 45 minutes. Great with whipped cream or ice cream.

  1. t was so hot out today that after working outside I had to take a shower to cool off, then a little afternoon nap. And when I woke up.Oh what is that great smell, I detect she has been baking again. Another cobbler that was so great.
