In Memory of "Benjie"

Sad news over the weekend about my cousin, Benjie, who had been fighting cancer for quite awhile. He was only 40 years old. I haven't seen Benjie in several years but his life is definitely a witness to strength and courage. He went into remission for a couple of years and unfortunately this past year had recurrence of his tumor. I wanted to go to his funeral today but couldn't because I couldn't drive the 10 hour round trip. I just physically cannot do long trips with the cervical disc issues right now. I really wanted to go though.
I have some childhood memories of visiting my cousins, Pansy and Benjie. I remember Benjie at about 4 or 5 years old with a vivid imagination and running through the house with sheets tied around his neck as a cape. Those were fun times. He was Pansy's "little brother" and we watched over him several times. We grew up and kinda went our separate ways and the last time I saw him was at his father's funeral (my uncle).
I found this video online of one of my favorite songs in memory of Claude Benjamin (Benjie) Thompson. Benjie, may you be at peace now in heaven and your suffering has ended........
