Ooooh, what a choice. White is always so fresh and clean, but the antique gold would probably be more royal. Yes, I'd say the gold for this piece (which is coming along beautifully, by the way).
You are doing a great job! I love this sampler, and am prety much where you are on it. Hopefully I will have some more stitching time this weekend...grins...
