Short Update

Thank you to all who left me so many encouraging messages. I felt them in the heart and I just want you to know I appreciate every one of them.  I just read them all this morning. Friday morning went to work and the pain got so bad that I had to leave work at 3pm to go back to the doc and get a temporary implant put in my left eye to help with the pain, kind of like a bandage on the eyeball. It did help and I have to go back Tuesday to have it removed. Then to a specialist on Thursday. If I take the big patch off my left eye I see kinda double out of it but then I put the bigger patch on and can at least see out the right one.

Bodyguard calls me a pirate today...LOL

Again, thanks for all the prayers. I'm certain that " everything happens for a reason, and for a time and a place under Heaven" just as written in Ecclesiastes. I can't say that I would have said that at every year of my life but the older I get, the more clear that is to me.

I haven't picked up the needle for the past few days. I may see how I can stitch with my magnifier and the big patch tonight.

Hopefully, I will be able next to post some stitching progress!

  1. So sorry you are having such a time with your eye...still praying for a quick recovery!

You are right, everything does happen for a reason. The older I get the more I can look back and see the why of the difficult times. God does use those times to help prepare us to be stronger in the future happenings of our lives whether they be good or bad.

Hope you will be able to get some stitching in, it will soothe your soul.

  2. I'm so glad you have something to help with the pain and that you can see pretty well considering. I'll keep sending those good thoughts your way. Enjoy the rest of your weekend and if you get to play pirate I bet Miss Abbie would be the parrot on your shoulder!

  3. Dear Sweet Jennifer,
You know I continue to pray for
    the complete recovery of your
    beautiful eyes. What satan meant
for evil the Lord will turn around
for your good. Turn everything over
to His loving care for no one cares
for you as He does. If you haven't
    already done so, please surrender
all to Jesus. He loves you so much.
    Love & Prayers,
    (Psalm 116, my Psalm)

  4. Dearest Jennifer,

So sad that you are suffering still from wounds inflicted by others... Hope you at least take enough rest so your body can heal in the areas where it needs healing. No need for picking up the needle... Don't strain your eye(s) for a moment.
A big hug and lots of love,

  5. Stay brave and positive. Keeping you in my thoughts....

  6. Here's hoping you can have your patch off Tuesday and everything is better with your eye.

Just remember what you survive makes you stronger. Take care -

  7. I hope your eye problems heal soon Jennifer.
I also hope you can stitch a little tonight with Abbie right by your side to comfort you.
    Pat-Pat. :)
