Another Random Stitchy Start

Just picked up the needle, with a little time to work on it a design I've had from a designer  , and inspired with it, so another start for a cloudy afternoon. I'm using this with DMC 355, monochromatic.
The fabric has been in my stash for at least 10 years. I've always LOVED it. It has flecks of Colonial Blue and Red in it with a dark linen main color. It has a wool feel to it. I've always wanted to know the name of it, I had taken the tag off. I got this many years ago in a stitching shop in Augusta, Ga. that I don't think is there anymore.

I thought the red picks up the flecks of threads perfectly.

Can you guess what this sampler will be?????
Can you guess the designer?????

I like the "wooly" feel to this linen and I'm finally putting it to use. This is what happens when I clean out my stash. I find too many things to start on. :)

Last night, went to see The Lucky One out in theatre based on a Nicholas Spark's book and it was very good!

More later with pics of Miss Abbie when my camera is behaving. :P

  1. Lovely stitching! Could your fabric be Heatherfield?

  2. Hi Jennifer,

I love your new start, the red thread does bring out the flecks in the linen. I know what you are stitching because I love the designer's work...it is My Everything by Tanya of The Sampler Girl.

    Happy Stitching,

  4. I would say Heatherfield but it's not stiff or like aida, and it's wooly like in texture. I will look up Floba. And yes! It is "it is my everything by Tanya, Sampler Girl.

  5. That is so weird - I just pulled this pattern from my stash!! LOL! I love the quote. I had it written on a piece of paper over my desk from the movie, "Four Weddings and a Funeral". Then I saw the pattern and had it in my stash for awhile. Can't wait to get started on it!!
So glad you posted this :)

  10. Your fabric is camel Heatherfield. It came in 10, 16, and 26 counts. You are stitching "My Everything" by The Sampler Girl. I stitched in a dark blue a few years ago!

  11. A very pretty new start.
The linen is lovely although I have no idea what it is although I do think it is one of Tanya's samplers.

  12. I've had some similar fabric, a number of years ago, that was called Gardasee. I don't know if that's what yours is, but it's similar. I love the colored flecks in it! So pretty!
