Letters of the Heart: A

designed by Feathers in the Nest
copyright 2011

CC Finley Gold ---yellow
CC Brandied Pears--lighter brown
GA Huckleberry---blue

you can substitute other colors for what the letter A means to you. An Autumn array of colors would be beautiful as well.

in memory of my son, Aaron, who would have had his 26th birthday today if he had lived. It's not a sad day, but a day of rememberance that his spirit is free, well, and held by angels in Heaven. I feel his spirit strongly at times and it''s usually when I need it the most.

When I dabbled with this piece over the weekend, in the few minutes I had to do that, I thought how versatile this little sampler could be. It's August, it's almost Autumn, and I love angels.

So if you have the desire to stitch a small pinkeep, or even a gift tag to hang near your special A or to give to a special A, this may help.
I hope to stitch this as a pinkeep and put close with my angel collection.

Here's hoping your are having a great Tuesday!

Jennifer

  4. A is for appreciation for a kind and thoughtful friend. Your pattern is beautiful but the meaning behind it really touched my heart, like your patterns and blog do on a reular basis. Happy Birthday Aaron, I know you are smiling down on your mom today, and bringing her peace and joy. Hope you are having a good day today Jennifer. Isn't it a miracle that some people are only in our lives for a very short period of time, yet the joy they bring and the way they continue to touch our lives gives us the strength to carry on? Here is a hug from CA.

  15. Hello Jennifer, I also lost my son almost 6 months ago from complications from diabetes. He was just shy of 32. God is helping us recover from the shock and loss of our boy whom we loved so much. We are blessed to know he is in heaven with his Savior Jesus. There are many people who share the loss of their beloved children and we know how deep the pain is don't we. I pray God's comfort for you.
