Congratulations on your finish! did you do the framing yourself? If so, maybe we could go ahead and have a guild meeting and you could teach me to block! I have acid free foam board and I have some ready to go....
The story behind this piece is that I had found this great place on Ebay for frames, solid wood, which includes glass and hanger for around 6-12 bucks each.Lots of different colors, primitive to classic, to all kinds. I actually got the frame for the Dutch one here too. I ordered 2 --6 inch frames for a pair of Scarlett Letter samplers but the 6 inches did not work. So.......I had picked up this little piece to stitch, changed the border from a white to DMC 221 and it fit well into the 6 inch mahagony frame. Changing the border to a dark red really picked up the color in the frame. I hung it in my bedroom and hope to remind myself everyday this simple rule to Be True to myself instead of trying to please a million people. Thanks so much for the complements. I did frame it myself. I don't really do any official blocking but actually this one I just used the cardboard that came in the frame to place the piece on. I usually use the sticky matting board....get at Hobby Lobby and then stretch and it works well too. Michelle, I would love to get a sampler guild up here. Suggestions?

I love it! Now I've got to finish mine! And if you did the framing yourself, I definitely need lessons from you! Beautiful.
